Connie Elaine Tester, 67, of Erwin, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness.
Connie was a native of Carter County. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wade Tester.
Survivors include her mother, Alpha Joines Tester, Elizabethton; a sister, Janie Tester, Elizabethton; two brothers, Terry Tester and wife Karen, Elizabethton, and Ron Tester and wife Bandy, Erwin; four nieces, Terri Tester and Jessica Houston and husband Tim, Elizabethton, Angela Smith and husband Marty, Johnson City, and Misty Tester, Erwin; a nephew, Robert Tester and wife Sheilan, Johnson City; three great-nieces, Shelbie Tester, Sophie Tester and Kate Smith; a great-nephew, Bentley Smith; a special aunt, Omega Collins; and a special cousin, Judy Richardson.
Graveside services for Miss Tester will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. James Richardson officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Connie to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9909. The family would like to thank the ones who sent Connie cards, visits, gifts and prayers during her illness. They would also like to thank Dr. Robert Walter and the staff of Hermitage Health Center for the care they gave to Connie.
