Billie Joyce Rhea Holsclaw

Billie Joyce Rhea Holsclaw, 84, of Robertsdale, Ala., formerly of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William and Myra Campbell Rhea. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart Delano Holsclaw, in 1990.
Mrs. Holsclaw was a member of Eastside Christian Church.
Survivors include her children, Roy Wayne Holsclaw and wife Brigette, Florala, Ala., Judy Carol Brill and John Steven Holsclaw and wife Wanda, both of Robertsdale, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Bradley Holsclaw, Crestview, Fla., Ashley Holsclaw, Ft. Walton, Fla., Michael Decker, Defuniak Springs, Fla., Shane Patrick Brill and wife Dee Dee, Robertsdale, Ala., Michael Brill and wife Debra, Silverhill, Ala., John J. Holsclaw and wife Sharon, of Ohio, and Chasity McKlemurry and husband Dustin, Gulf Port, Miss.; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Allen, of Maryland; and two brothers, Don Rhea and Ronnie Rhea, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Holsclaw will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Tommy Brill and Mr. Randal Johnson, ministers, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Tommy Brill. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Ernie Depew officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who prefer memorials may make donations to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800, in memory of Mrs. Holsclaw.
