served a search warrant at an Elizabethton apartment complex Friday afternoon.
CCSD Capt. Mike Little said the search warrant was served on 102 Mountain Hollow Court, Building C, Apartment 10, in the Mountain Hollow apartment complex as a result of an ongoing investigation into the sale of crack cocaine at that location. The Mountain Hollow apartment complex is located just off of Highway 19E.
As a result of the search officers seized a Dodge Stratus and collected evidence from the apartment, Little said. He declined to describe what evidence was collected.
“In the last three to four weeks we’ve fielded several complaints, not just from people in this neighborhood but throughout the county, regarding the sale of illegal narcotics in these apartments,” said Little, adding that officers were able to investigate and determine that drug activity was occurring in Apartment 10. “It was fortunate we were able to corroborate the complaints we had received.”
After officers gathered intelligence on the activity at the apartment, the search warrant was obtained and was served on the apartment on Friday.
Little said no one was at the residence when officers arrived Friday to serve the warrant but later in the day officers were able to arrest four individuals in connection with the investigation. The names of the individuals and charges filed against them has not yet been released.
Little said that even though four arrests have been made the investigation is still ongoing and further charges are pending.
