Thanks to the feet of quarterback Corey Russell, T.A. Dugger ran away with a 41-8 home-opening victory against Church Hill on Tuesday night.

The eighth-grader rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries.

“Corey can play,” Burleson said. “Anytime the ball is in his hands we have an opportunity to score.

“You never know what is going to happen. We are hollering at him to throw the ball away or get out of bounds and next thing you know he is in the end zone.”
