JOHNSON CITY—East Tennessee State University is 364 days away from rewriting a chapter of its athletic history, and a few Carter County football standouts will be taking center stage.

Unaka’s Austin Anderson, Cloudland’s Asley Haynes and Elizabethton’s Adam Mullins and Terrence Turner are all a part of the first recruiting class that will take the field against Kennesaw State on Sept 3,2015.

“They have been talking about brining this program back since I have been in elementary school  and now I will be part of the first team to bring it back, it’s just an awesome and amazing feeling,” Anderson said. “Like the coaches say we are making history every day that we walk on this campus.”
