William George Buchanan

William George Buchanan, 70, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
A native of Hoboken, N.J., he was a son of the late George and Ethel Heinen-gaige Buchanan. He had lived in several areas of the country before coming to Elizabethton in February of this year.
Mr. Buchanan was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, Calara, Ala., and a member of the Tri-County Choppers of New Jersey.
Survivors include his wife, Lelani Mahan Buchanan; a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Shawn Hull, Elizabethton; a son, William Buchanan Jr., Elizabethton; three brothers and three sisters; and several children adopted over the years.
Funeral services for Mr. Buchanan will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, at Elm Springs United Methodist Church, Church Hill, with Pastor Regina Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Elm Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Buchanan to the Elm Springs United Methodist Church, 1350 Elm Springs Road, Church Hill, TN 37642. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Springs United Methodist Church. Condolences may be made at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
