EHS, HV wrestling teams flourish

‘It was a big wrestling night at John Treadway Gym on Thursday night as the Elizabethton and Happy Valley each wrestled Chuckey-Doak and Daniel Boone. The matches served as a primer for the two crosstown rivals that will meet today at 1:30 p.m. inside the same gym.
Both hometown teams were victorious on the Thursday night as Elizabethton started off the night wrestling against Daniel Boone and grabbed a big 45-18 victory by winning six matches. The Cyclones also defeated Chuckey-Doak 42-34.
Happy Valley took each match of the night by beating the Trailblazers 36-30 and the Black Knights 39-29.
