Owenby, a left-hander, is from Fort Myers, Florida, and comes to Milligan from the University of South Florida.

“We’re excited to have both these men join our club,” Meade said. “Both guys are great fits for not only our program but for our school as well. They come from exceptional families and should be great assets to our program both on and off the field.”

Perry attended Martha Lange Collins High School where he earned three varsity letters and was named to the All-Region team in his sophomore, junior and senior years. His high school team was American Legion State Champions, and Perry is the school’s record-holder for career strikeouts.

Owenby was a four-sport athlete in his time at Bishop Verot High School, competing in football, basketball, cross-country and baseball. As a Viking, Owenby combined for a 13-2 record and a 1.00 ERA, helping to earn him the honor of Pre-Season Under Armour All-American as a senior. Owenby also set the Bishop Verot High School record for most strikeouts in one game with 16.

Perry is the son of Chris and Machelle Perry. He plans to major in communications and business.

Owenby, the son of Johnny and Tina Owenby, will pursue a degree in applied finance and accounting.
