Patricia Ann May (Pat), 60, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at her home following an extended illness. The funeral service for Mrs. May will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday, March 27, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Wesley Simmons, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel, prior to the service. The graveside service will be private. Active pallbearers will be Kyle Taylor, Logan Craft, Dillon Craft, Jeff Taylor, Howard Craft and Matthew Norris.
Patricia was born in Chicago, Ill., on May 27, 1954. Patricia May was married to Frank May Jr. on May 5, 1971; they were married 44 years.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker, but was previously employed at Pardner’s Barbeque for 16 years. She always put other people’s needs first. She was a faithful member of Stoney Creek Church of Christ, and loved people and being around her family. She was talented with her hands, and enjoyed cooking, scrapbooking, making cards and crocheting.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Frank May Jr.; her son, Jerry May; daughters, Melinda Taylor and husband Jeff and Christie Craft and husband Howard; grandchildren, Kelsey Taylor, Katie May, Logan Craft, Dillon Craft, Kyle Taylor and Noah May; brothers, Eddie Norris, Danny Norris, Gene Norris, Ronnie Norris, Ricky Norris and Roger Norris; and sister, Shelia Baker.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, R.C. Norris, her mother, Faye Norris, and sister, Linda Norris.
The family of Patricia Ann May wishes to thank family and friends for prayers, visits, food, phone calls and cards during her illness. She will be missed by her family, but is at peace with the Lord. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
