Ceola Bowers, 81, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late John Arthur and Sallie C. Williams Bowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Juanita Bowers, Mae Smith and Josie Buckles Hyder, and three brothers, Floyd Bowers, Harrell Clifford Bowers and Luther Bowers.
Miss Bowers was retired from Levi Strauss in Elizabethton and was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church.
Survivors include a brother, Grover Bowers, and a sister, Hildred Bowers, both of the home. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
It was her wish to be cremated and there will be no immediate services. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. Those who wish may sign the register book at Tetrick Funeral Home.
