Lula Higgins Twilley, 99, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at her home in Carter County, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late John A. Higgins and Lydia Kilgore Higgins of Marion County, Tenn.
Mrs. Twilley was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church, Anniston, Ala., for many years. She loved to fish and garden in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore R. Twilley, and by eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Phillis W. Manning, and son-in-law, Thomas Manning; two grandsons, Thomas, and wife, Molly Menssen Manning, and Matthew D. Manning. She is also survived by one great-grandson, Griffin Thomas Manning. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
