Meth Conspiracy
Police have arrested several area residents in connection with what officers are calling a conspiracy to manufacture the drug methamphetamine.
On April 17, officers of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 191 Cash Hollow Road and reported finding a meth lab inside the home. Officers arrested the resident, 28-year-old Samantha McKinley, and charged her with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are sold or manufactured.
During the search of the home, officers found a ledger kept by McKinley detailing meth making activity in the home. It listed the names of several individuals involved.
After looking at evidence collected from the home and speaking with witnesses, CCSD Investigator Harmon Duncan obtained warrants for others who allegedly took part in manufacturing the drug. In the warrants, Duncan alleges that Mark Aaron Mounts, 23, who also lived at 191 Cash Hollow Road at the time of the raid, would conduct the actual methamphetamine cook while others would supply him with the pseudoephedrine necessary to manufacture the drug.
