Edward L. Hasson, 69, 1253 Milligan Highway, Johnson City, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, went home to be with the Lord at the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Hattiesburg, Miss., he was a son of the late Arthur B. and Ruby Evelyn Nobles Hasson.
Mr. Hasson served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He had lived in Carter County for the past five years. He was a previous restaurant owner and also had worked in the oil fields in Texas.
Mr. Hasson was a member of North Street Church of Jesus, Johnson City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Jimmy Hasson; a sister, Betty Aultman; grandchildren, Ryder Williams and Shawn Joshua Dean Williams; and a daughter-in-law, Lori Lowe.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Charlotte Pruitt Hasson; his children, Burnie Lowe, Marion, N.C., Leta Nunley and husband Daniel, Elizabethton, Holly Williams, Marion, N.C., Maria Marling and husband Jody, Wallas, Texas, Jackie Garcia and friend Dan Miller, Lockard, Texas, Krystal Hasson, Victoria Chaney and husband Tim and Allison Ferguson, all of West Columbia, Texas; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Miller and husband Jack of Georgia; a brother, Rex Hasson and wife Cindy of Georgia; a brother-in-law, Evert Aultman, Hattiesburg, Miss.; and a sister-in-law, Claudette Hasson, Morganton, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Edward L. Hasson will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Pruitt officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
