Gilbert T. Wilson, 75, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, from his residence, following a brief illness. Mr. Wilson was born in Wheeling, W.Va., the son of the late Harold and Allie Stanton Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Wilson Williams.
Mr. Wilson retired from Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center as a CNA. He was a member of Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and was a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include two daughters, Tanya Wilson, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Lisa Wilson Leach and husband London, Manchester, Tenn.; a son, Greg D. Wilson and wife Carmen, Cleveland, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia Fetty of Ohio, and Mary Talbott, Tallahassee, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
