Audrey Jones Fulwiler

Audrey Jones Fulwiler, 93, of Elizabethton, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Pine Ridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Sullivan County to the late Samuel Cain Jones and Loucinda Slagle Jones but had lived most of her life in Carter County.
Audrey was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Audrey was the “last leaf on the tree.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fulwiler; one grandson, James Paul Fulwiler III; one brother, James Jones; two sisters, June Jones and Minnie Jones; and one nephew, Allan Jones.
Audrey and her husband, Paul, along with their children, Jimmy, Patsy and Virginia, enjoyed living oversees in Iraq, Venezuela and Puerto Rico. Some of their most memorable trips included visiting places like the Holy Land, Cairo, Egypt, Switzerland, New York, Angel Falls in Venezuela, and Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Patsy Schuppan and husband, Walter, of Elizabethton, and Audrey Virginia Talkington and husband, Lee, of Smyrna, Tenn.; one son, James “Jimmy” Paul Fulwiler of Elizabethton; three granddaughters, Audra Smith and husband, Rodney, of Johnson City, Wendy Schultz and husband, Steve, of Elizabethton, and Andrea Talkington of Smyrna, Tenn.; and four great-grandchildren, Walter Dane Schuppan and Rachel Audrey Schultz, both of Elizabethton, USN David Austin Burnett of Norfolk, Va., and Josie Lee Talkington of Smyrna, Tenn.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Reverend Darrell Holly officiating. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday for the graveside service.
Audrey’s corner is lonely. Audrey has gone on her journey to heaven. God bless. Love, Your Family.
