Myrtle Rabb

Mrs. Myrtle Rabb, 76, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at her residence. A native of Carter County, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late Nat and Pat Virginia Green Bryant.
Mrs. Rabb retired from a North Carolina furniture factory. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Rabb; a son, Alan Johnson; two sisters, Molly Bradshaw and Mae Bryant; and two brothers, Junior E. Bryant and Duke Bryant.
Survivors include her children, Joyce Coghenour and husband Eddie, Beverly Kyger and husband Mickey, Donna Johnson, Nat Johnson and Steve Johnson and wife Margaret; grandchildren, Shirley Phillips, Barbara Carpenter, Jessica Harrison, Adeena Harrison, Joe Harrison, Steven Johnson, Roger Johnson, Angie Johnson, Jenny Windham, Brittany Johnson, Terry Johnson and Alan Johnson; and 19 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Myrtle Rabb will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 18, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 19, in the Highland Cemetery, Elizabethton, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
