With Watauga Valley Conference play wrapped up, coaches met Wednesday and laid out this year’s District 1A Tournament bracket.

Game one will be between No. 4 University High and No. 5 Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday May 6  at East Tennessee State University. On the same day, No. 3 South Greene will host No. 6 Cloudland in game two. The time of that game has not been set.

After games one and two have been played, the rest of the tournament will be completed at Tusculum College. In game three, No. 1 Unaka will hit the field on Saturday, May 7 as they take on the winner between Hampton and University High at 5 p.m.  Game four will see No. 2 North Greene  play the winner of Cloudland and South Greene at 7:30 p.m.

On May 9, the losers of games three and four will play at 5 p.m. in game five, while the winners will face off at 7:30 p.m. in game six. The following day on May 10, the winner of game five will play the loser of game six in game seven.

On May 11, the championship game will be held at 5 p.m. with the winner of game six taking on the winner of game 7. If needed, a run off game will be played at 7 p.m. on the same day.
