Sheryl Edward Watson II, 36, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Sheryl was born in Bristol, Tenn., to Mrs. Ellen Romaine Watson and the late Sheryl Watson Sr.
Mr. Watson was the owner of M&L Garage Doors and was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. He loved woodworking, fishing, playing guitar, riding his motorcycle, playing with “Daddy’s little girl,” Maci, and cooking with his great-nephew, Jonathan, his “Little buddy.”
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother include his wife of two years, Lori Watson of Elizabethton; his beloved daughter, Maci Ellen Watson of Elizabethton; one sister, Tammy Watson Whitehead of Elizabethton; a special niece, Tiffany Whitehead Campbell of Elizabethton; a special great-nephew, Jonathan Campbell of Elizabethton; a special aunt, Joyce Richards of Bluff City; his father-in-law, Jerry Hatley of Elizabethton; his mother-in-law, Charlotte Bennett, also of Elizabethton; and two special friends, Justin Davis of Gray and Keith Pleasant of Elizabethton.
A service to honor the life of Sheryl Edward Watson II will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Mark Fowler officiating. Music will be under the direction of Greg and Tammy Ruston. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service, or at the residence of his mother at other times. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Justin Davis, Shane Watson, Keith Pleasant, Randy White, Jonathan Campbell, Doug Carter and Greg Norris. Honorary pallbearers will be his Unaka High School Basketball Team, Justin Hatley, Jerry Hatley, Chad Pierce, Rex Pendergrass, Dean Pierce, Aaron Greene and Tommy Vaughn Jr. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rev. Bobby and Janice Stout for their many years of ministry to the family.
