Alda G. Emmons, 93, wife to the late Guy William Emmons II, passed away in Laurels of Worthington Nursing Home in Worthington, Ohio on Thursday, April 3, 2014. She was born on November 13, 1920 to the late Ira and Daisy Warren Griesinger in Coral Ridge, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Emmons; siblings, Ira, Jr. and Loran Griesinger, Obie Atherton and step-mother, Hattie Griesinger.
Alda worked in the record department for Kresge’s and was a member of Fairdale Baptist and Green Acres Baptist Churches.
She is survived by children, Guy W. Emmons III (Linda) of Dublin, Ohio, and Patricia Chambers of Elizabethton, Tenn., along with nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Ky. Visitation was Monday from 11 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.
