Harris and Mowell named to positions at Citizens Bank

Chairman and CEO, Joe Laporte, III, announces that Jacob M. Harris and David F. Mowell have joined the commercial banking team of Citizens Bank, effective April 7th.
Harris will focus on Commercial Lending and Business Development throughout the Tri-Cities region, and Mowell will be responsible for bank communications and marketing strategies for the financial institution. Harris joins Citizens Bank with 14 years of experience in the financial services industry including 10 years focused on commercial banking in the Tri-Cities region. He began his career with MSSA, Inc. located in New Port Richey, Florida where he served as Controller and Operations Manager. Harris then moved back to the Tri-Cities region where he began his banking career with AmSouth Bank/Regions Bank, holding the positions of Credit Specialist and Commercial Relationship Manager/Team Leader. Most recently, Harris was a Commercial Relationship Manager with First Tennessee Bank.
He earned a B.S. degree in Finance while attending King College and the University of South Florida. He was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society and has a wide variety of experience in both public and private business sectors.
In his spare time, Jacob enjoys spending time with his family, running, mountain biking, and playing guitar.
Mowell received a B.S. degree from ETSU in Mass Communications/concentration in advertising. During his time at ETSU, he participated in an internship at the Bristol Rhythm Roots Reunion, competed with a team of students in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC), and traveled the area with the Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Pride Band.
Mowell resides in Jonesborough with his wife, Amanda, and enjoys playing bluegrass music with the band Blue Moon Rising.
