Mary Roseanne Hornyak

Mary Roseanne Hornyak, 68, 708 Pine Hill Road, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, May 11, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and was a daughter of the late Mary E. Woodall. Mrs. Hornyak was a homemaker and a member of the Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Hornyak of the home; seven children: Lee Hornyak, David Hornyak and wife, Marisa, Lisa Vaughan and Anna Ward and husband, Tony all of Elizabethton; Emily Ward and husband, Andrew of Beaufort, S.C.; Sarah Kolb and husband, Aaron of Gray; and Connie Badillo of Elizabethton; three sisters: Teresa Rodriguez of Arizona; Cathy Crowder and husband, Tommy of Calhoun, Ga.; and Cecelia Garrison of Flagstaff, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; many special friends, including a close and dear friend, Janet Payne of Johnson City; also several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Hornyak will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ, 2733 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City with Pastor Donny Reagan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 p.m. until the service hour. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aaron Vaughan, Isaiah Vaughan, Anthony Ward, Joseph and Joe Hornyak and Tommy Kolb. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the church by 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
