Carol Stout Carden

Ms. Carol Stout Carden, 65, of Hampton, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 23, 2014, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Jarvis and Clois Evans Stout and was born in Carter County. Ms. Carden was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was a retired Registered Nurse and she loved to read.
She is survived by a daughter, Jimi Farmer, Old Fort, N.C.; three sons: Casey Jarvis Carden, Hampton; David Carden and his wife, Jennifer, Savannah, Ga.; and Daniel Carden, Hampton; four grandchildren, Cody Farmer, Hampton; Curtiss Carden and Haley Carden, both of Elizabethton; and Kaitlyn Carden, Savannah, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Alden Farmer and Tristan Farmer, both of Hampton; and a brother, Charles Jarvis Stout, Okeechobee, Fla. A niece, April Pearson, and a nephew, C.J. Stout, also survive.
The funeral service for Ms. Carden will be conducted on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, Elizabethton with the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Creed Guy, George Lambert and Ralph Stout. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.
