Billy Frank Smith, 64, of Roan Mountain, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Roan Highlands Nursing Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary Shell Smith.
Mr. Smith was an employee of Summers-Taylor for several years. He was also a mechanic.
Billy was a member of Roan Mountain United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and John K. Smith.
Survivors include a sister, JoAnn Odom, Roan Mountain; several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Lorraine Turbyfill and Mary “Freda” Odom; and his special great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Roan Highlands Nursing Center and the staff of Caris Health Care.
