Johnny Richard Whitehead, 40, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014.
Johnny was a native of Carter County. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist Faith.
Johnny was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Williams.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Earlene Reece Whitehead; three brothers, Joseph Whitehead and James Whitehead, both of Elizabethton, and Jeffrey Whitehead, Roan Mountain; and a sister, Melody Rutherford, Elizabethton.
Graveside services and interment for Mr. Whitehead will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, in the Bennett Cemetery (Dennis Cove) with the Rev. Eric Heaton officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
