Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming marriage of Wendy Michelle Hambrick and Travis Lance Gass.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Woodrow and Betty Richardson. She is the granddaughter of the late Kathleen Taylor and Maude Smith.

Wendy is a teacher with the Carter County School System and is Site Director for the Unaka Elementary Afterschool Program.

Her fiancé is the son of Michael and Shea Gass of Elizabethton. He is the grandson of the late Conley and Haven Pierce and the late Hazel and Charles Gass.

Travis is employed by UPS.

The couple will be married in a beach wedding on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Isle of Palms, Charleston, S.C.
