Hostilities resumed on Monday after rain washed away Sunday’s contest between the Elizabethton Twins and Bristol Pirates at Joe O’Brien Field.

The Twins (7-4) continued to show dominance over the Bri-Rates in an 8-5 victory.

No team from Bristol (the Sox or Pirates) has taken a series from ’Betsy since the Sox beat the Twins two-of-three in July of 2011 — and with the loss in the opening game, they may not this season either.
