Calvin “Bo” Colbaugh

Calvin “Bo” Colbaugh, 89, of Elizabethton, died on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness.
He was a son of the late George “Bill” and Alice Roberta Colbaugh and was born in Carter County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Deloach Colbaugh; son, Donnie Colbaugh; brother, Edgar Colbaugh; sister, Freda Buckles; and mother-in-law, Abbie Deloach.
Mr. Colbaugh was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church and was a painter. He was a member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge #750 F&AM, 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason of the Valley of Knoxville Scottish Rite, and also a member of the Elizabethton Elks Lodge #1847.
Survivors include one daughter, Crystal Dotson and husband, Alan; one granddaughter, Courtney Dotson; two sisters, Elsie M. Presnell and Virginia L. Willis, both of Elizabethton; a special friend, Jerry White, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mr. Colbaugh will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. David Seibenaler, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to the funeral service in the chapel. The graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at Mountain Home National Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Active pallbearers will be selected from friends.
