Eugene Claude O’Quinn

DANTE, Va. — Eugene Claude O’Quinn, 84, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Center on Aging & Health, Erwin, Tenn.
He was born in Watauga, Tenn., the son of the late Sebastian and Fronie O’Quinn Tipton.
Mr. O’Quinn was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary O’Quinn and Nancy Wright, both of Hampton, Tenn.; three sons, Robert O’Quinn of Manassas, Va., Jeffery O’Quinn of Hartford, Ala., and Mark O’Quinn of Fredericksburg, Va.; three sisters and one brother; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. O’Quinn will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Mt. Zion Community Apostolic Church, Hazel Mountain, Dante, Va., with Rev. Tommy Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderville-Kiser Cemetery, East Hazel Mountain, Dante, Va. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The body will be taken to the Mt. Zion Community Apostolic Church, where the family will receive friends after 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22.
