Off-seasons don’t exist for high school athletes, as the summer presents their prime time to impress prospective collegiate coaches.

The members of the East Tennessee Lady Rain girls basketball team are taking full advantage of their free time by traveling to national showcases to put their skills on display.

“I love playing the game and my dream is to play at a big college and get an education,” said Kelci Marosites, a member of the Lady Rain and Elizabethton Lady Cyclones. “I know I have to work hard to get there and that’s why I spend a lot of my summer playing ball.”
