Larry Paul Cole

Larry Paul Cole Sr., 53, 910 Tipton Street, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
He was a native of Michigan but had lived most of his life in Carter County.
Larry served in the United States Army. He was a former employee of Sam’s Fencing Company and a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arvil Cole, and a brother, Charles Culbert.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Ingram Cole, of the home; a son, Larry Paul Cole Jr., Elizabethton; a step-daughter, Jessica Davis, Johnson City; a grandson; and a sister, Debbie Bryant, Elizabethton. Three aunts, two uncles, two nephews and one niece also survive.
Graveside services for Mr. Cole will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, in the Guinn Cemetery, Hampton, with the Rev. Dallas Gregg officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Stevie Phillips, Brian Morrell, David Aldro, Randy Norris, Gary Collins Jr., Jerry Cole, Adam Sanders and Brandon Frazier. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion and the Tennessee National Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence. Condolences may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
