One night after completing a late comeback victory, the Greeneville Astros continued to swing hot sticks striking early and on Wednesday evening at Joe O’Brien Field to take two of three from Elizabethton with a  5-1 victory in Appalachian League action.

Lefthander Derrick Penilla (3-2, 4.15) started for the Twins but he struggled, surrendering five runs — all earned — in three innings of work as ’Betsy (23-16) fell into an early deficit.

Greeneville (21-19) tallied a run in the first on a leadoff single by Jason Martin and a two-out RBI base hit from catcher Jacob Nottingham.
