The Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs will host a veterans outreach event on Aug. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Armed Forces Center, 253 Don May Road in Johnson City.
Federal, state, local and non-profit organizations will gather to assist veterans and their families from Carter, Greene, Sullivan, Unicoi and Washington counties with claims assistance, employment opportunities, educational resources and more.
