PFC Michael Lee Nave

PFC Michael Lee Nave, 25, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at his residence.
Michael was a native of Carter County and the son of Michael Quinn and Annetta Hughes Nave. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Minnie Hughes, and two uncles, Jeffery Nave and Steven Nave.
Michael was a disabled United States Army veteran, having served in Iraq. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitars.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his daughter, Aubri Rowan; his wife, Courtney Leigh Holtsclaw Nave, of the home; a sister, Laura Nave of Florida; his grandparents, Albert and Virginia Nave, Elizabethton; two aunts, Robin Markland, Elizabethton, and Lesia Nave, Warrensville, N.C.; two uncles, Eddie Stanley and wife Kittie, Jonesborough, and Joey Stanley, Elizabethton; and three cousins, Rachel, Sarah and Jenna.
A graveside service to honor the life of PFC Michael Lee Nave will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, August 11, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Tim Tapp officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be Military Honor Guard members. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Estep, Josh Hitchew, Ethan Cline and Billy Rose. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton at 9 a.m. Monday to go in procession, or at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.tetrickfuneralhome.com and signing the guest book.
