Patsy Ann Morley Cornett

Patsy Ann Morley Cornett, 80, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol, Tenn.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Dwight M. and Juanita Arnold Morley. She had lived in Elizabethton for 54 years.
Pat was a graduate of Johnson County High School and attended East Tennessee State College. She was retired from State Farm Insurance after 25 years of service. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Cornett, July 3, 2006, and a son, Robert “Bob” Cornett, November 11, 2013.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen H. and Sandra Cornett, Elizabethton; her daughter-in-law, Dot Cornett, Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Hollie Pierce and husband Tim, Stephenie Heaton and husband Scott, Chris Cornett and wife Tiffany and Justin Cornett and wife Allison; six great-grandchildren, Millie, Morgan, Marley, Trenton, Halle and Case; a sister, Nancy Pezua, Alexandria, Va.; and two brothers, Dennis Morley, Elizabethton, and Edwin Morley, Mountain City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services for Mrs. Cornett will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 14, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Jeremy Rhoton officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of her son, Stephen Cornett. Family and friends will assemble at the Mausoleum at 9:50 a.m. Thursday.
