Kenneth Wayne Garland

Kenneth Wayne Garland, 53, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
He was a Carter County native. Kenneth was a 1979 graduate of Elizabethton High School.
He was a factory supervisor and a member of the Freedom Fellowship Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Brown Garland, who died Oct. 4, 1976. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: his wife and love of his life, Donna Lynne Townley Garland; two children, Kenny and Cheyenne; his mother, Helen Oliver Garland; his brother, Leroy Garland and wife Sheryl, Johnson City: sisters: Penny Garland and Vicky and Jerry Daugherty, all of Elizabethton; Townley brothers and sisters: Terry Baker Townley, Adam Townley and Scott and Earlene Townley, all of Morristown; several nieces and nephews and his many friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth Wayne Garland will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, in Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to his many friends and extended family, Courtney Valentine, Emilee and Josh Howard, Robert and Jarilyn Campbell and Audrey and Amber, Judy and Arnold Hooks for their love and support.
