Little Watauga teams get first taste of action

Middle school football teams faced off at Johnson County’s McEwen Stadium at the Little Watauga Jamboree on Friday night.

The night got started off with field competitions, with each team competing in different events. Cloudland’s Jordan Coffee took the title of longest place kick. In the longest punt competition, Rangers’ Jerold Kimble took first place. Hampton’s Skyler Cole had the farthest throw, getting him first place in the longest throw competition.

The Jr. Highlanders’ Josh Blair came in first during the fastest lineman race. The winner of the fastest running back race was Unaka’s Garrett Stiltner.
