James Ray “Jay” Elliott III, 57, Hampton, Tenn., passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014, from cancer at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Ray Elliott Jr., and his mother, Hilda Maxey Elliott, Columbus, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Rhoanna “Ronnie” Elliott, of the residence, daughter, Jennifer Bennett of Warner Robins, Ga., sister, Jeanette Elliott, Columbus, Ga., stepson and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Cindy Van Patten, special son, Eddie Reed, Elizabethton, special daughter, Sonnie Buchanan, Roan Mountain, grandchildren, Austin and Kohen Bennett, Warner Robins, Ga., Jesse, Kacy, Mallory and Tory Van Patten, Columbus, Ga. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 29, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the residence, 112 Forgotten Lane, Hampton, Tenn.
