Paul F. Street, 85, of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Four Oaks Health Care Center, Jonesborough.
A native of Cocke County, he was a son of the late William Grant and Maggie Adkins Street. He had lived a number of years in Carter County.
Mr. Street was a retired supervisor with Thomas Industries. He was a member of McCarty United Methodist Church, Telford. He loved art work, loved to work with wood and was a NASCAR and Tennessee Titans Fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dvetta Street; a son, Ronnie Street; a great-granddaughter, Avery Harrison; a brother, Dale Street; and a sister, Margaret Jaynes.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Judith Ann; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sandra Street, Telford, and Johnny and Tina Street, Ponce De Leon, Fla.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers; his daughter-in-law, Kay Street; and the mother of his children, Irene Croyle Street.
Funeral services for Mr. Street will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Darin Harrison officiating. Entombment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 28, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, will be David Blevins Jr., Cory Blevins, Aaron Street, Charlie Street, Matthew Street, Thomas Easthom and Walter Sherfey. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Street and Junior White. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
