Philip Todd Buck

Philip Todd Buck, 45, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Todd was a native of Carter County and a 1988 graduate of Happy Valley High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a truck driver with Harmon Ice, Johnson City. He loved golf, fishing, football and was an avid Vols fan.
Todd was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Wilson Buck; a son, Chase, of the home; his parents, Jerry Lynn and Frances Louise Humphreys Buck, Johnson City; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Tammy Buck and Eric and Jennifer Buck, all of Johnson City, and Anthony and Darlene Buck, Elizabethton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Paul Carroll, Telford, Lisa and Gary Shockley, Elizabethton, and Amy and Kevin Grindstaff, Johnson City; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Tim and Brenda Carver.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Buck will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, at First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton with the Pastor Nathan Jennings, Pastor Johnny Carney, Pastor Todd Ellis and Rev. Rusty Verran officiating. Music will be provided by Mike Carver, Danny Williams, Barbra Elliott and the First Freewill Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 1:50 p.m. Saturday, will be Matt Carroll, Tim Carver, Chuck Russell, Alex Carr, Joe Shockley, Chuck Baker, Adam Reeser and Teddy Tipton. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Harmon Ice, his First Free Will Baptist Church family, members of the Elizabethton Police Department and Craig Nave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Educational Fund of Chase Buck c/o Kimberly Buck, Carter County Bank (Bemberg Location). Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps and VFW Post 6975 Bristol. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service.
