Ina Ellis Loveless

Ina Ellis Loveless, 88, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas “Tom” and Carrie Messimer Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bate Matherly; her second husband, Chrisley Loveless; a granddaughter; and three sons, Donald Matherly, Bobby Matherly and Kenneth Matherly.
Ina was retired from The Elizabethton Star, after 20 years of service. She was a member of East Side Free Will Baptist Church.
Ina loved canning vegetables, growing flowers and quilting.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Kenneth Humphrey; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, expected in December.
A private graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Ina Ellis Loveless will be held with the family. The family would like to express a special thank you to members of the Carter County Rescue Squad, the staff of Hermitage Health Center, the staff of the 6300 floor of Johnson City Medical Center, the staff of Johnson City Medical Center Emergency Room, the staff of Caris Hospice of Johnson City and to Dr. Robert Walters, for all the love and care shown to Mrs. Loveless during her illness.
