Wayne Davis, 67, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
For those that knew him you will have your own memories and stories to share. Whether it was about those drag racing days, NASCAR races, Lake Days or just fun times hanging out with the friends or family. Maybe you were a co-worker, a neighbor or a past schoolmate. Regardless of who you were in his life you will know he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Shields Davis, a brother, Terry Davis, and a son, Wayne Davis II.
Wayne leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Brenda Lewis Davis; a cherished daughter, Ria Breon Davis; his mother, Hazel Davis; a brother, Jim Davis and wife Lisa; a sister, Betty Maggart; and several nieces, nephews and much loved in-laws.
Wayne was a retired employee of BOSCH Inc. He was a member of Hampton Lodge #750 and was of the Baptist Faith.
A gathering of friends and family will be Friday, December 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Hampton, with Dr. Danny Bright officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, % Lou Cooter, 415 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643; the Hampton Masonic Lodge #750, Hampton, TN; or to the Union Baptist Church, Hampton, TN.
