Judy Lorena Bowers, 50, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Judy was born in Elizabethton and was a daughter of Linda Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Elizabeth Bowers.
Ms. Bowers had been employed as a stock clerk and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She never met a stranger and never saw the bad in anyone.
Survivors include her mother, Linda Bowers, of the home; two sisters, Callie Morgan and husband, Tim, and Jennifer Rosenbaum, all of Elizabethton; a brother, Jeffery Rosenbaum, Johnson City; three aunts; four uncles; two nieces; one nephew; three great-nieces; and three great-nephews. Several cousins and her special friends, Wayne Ollis, Mary Christian and Ellen Sheets, and scores of other friends, also survive.
A service to honor the life of Ms. Judy Lorena Bowers will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, January 5, in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery with Pastor Bill Davis and Pastor Terry Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Stacy Bryant, Tim Morgan, Chris Morgan, Tony Bowers, Nathan Bowers and Todd Stines. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Carter County Rescue Squad. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of Pine Ridge Care and Rehab Center, the 3rd Floor Staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital and the 5th Floor of Johnson City Medical Center for the love and care shown to her during her illness.
