Virginia Reynolds
Virginia Reynolds, 96, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Hospice of Middletown, in Middletown, Ohio.
Virginia was born in Johnson County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Joel Ben and Nannie Wagner Dyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ben Dyer; one sister, Edith Farthing; three half brothers; and four half sisters.
Virginia had lived most of her life in Elizabethton, before moving to Ohio. She retired from North American Rayon, where she worked as a coning operator.
Virginia was a member of East River Park Christian church and loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and working in her flowers.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Reynolds Barnett and Danny L. Barnett; a grandson, Damon Barnett and wife Renee; a granddaughter, Ginny Barnett Patten and husband Eric; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Barnett; two great-grandsons, Bryce Cody Barnett and Caleb Lynn Patten; two sisters, Elizabeth Garner and Wilma Ruthledge; and one stepson, Larry Reynolds. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Virginia Reynolds will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, February 1, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. John Smith, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Mary Smith. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The committal and entombment service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, February 2, in the Mausoleum of Hope at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Monday.
