Dr. Willie Farell Osborne

SHALOTTE, N. C. — Dr. Willie Farell Osborne, 72, of Supply, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
Dr. Osborne was born in Unicoi County, Tenn., on November 29, 1942, and was the son of the late Carl and Myrtle Brumitt Osborne. He was preceded in death by two children and two brothers, Herbert and Ross Osborne.
Mr. Osborne was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a faithful servant to his Lord and Savior. He founded and was President of Emmaus Bible Institute. He pastored seven churches reaching from the North Carolina Coast to Michigan. He also hosted the Grace Baptist Hour Ministry Radio and Television Outreach and was also faithful to his local nursing home ministry.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Osborne; two children, Zack Osborne and wife Mindy of Florence, S.C., and Leslie Swiatocho and husband Chris of Supply; five grandchildren, Tyler and Anna Marie Osborne, Keely, Abby and Shepherd Swiatocho; three brothers, Paul Osborne of Hampton, Tenn., Roby Osborne of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Raymond Osborne of Unicoi, Tenn.; and a sister, Ruth Garland of Johnson City, Tenn.
A service to give honor to God and celebrate the life of Dr. Osborne will be held Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 2428 Seashore Road, Supply, N.C., with Pastor Chris Swiatocho officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at noon Saturday, prior to the service. An additional visitation will be held Monday. March 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 212 N. Main Street, Elizabethton, TN followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Lyons Cemetery.
