Leonard James Blevins

Leonard James Blevins, 43, of Salisbury, N.C., passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Glen A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury. He was born in Washington County but lived a number of years in Elizabethton.
James was a 1989 graduate of Unaka High School. He was a District Sales Manager with McDonald’s and also worked with Kangaroo Express. He attended Hunter First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Ann Hardin Persons and Leonard Persons, Salisbury, N.C.; his father, Donald Keith Blevins, Lenoir, N.C.; a step-sister, Megan Clay, Concord, N.C.; several cousins; and a special friend, Patty Honeycutt.
Funeral services for Leonard James Blevins will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, March 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Verran and the Rev. Ray Colbaugh officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, in the Blevins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence, 254 Peters Hollow Road, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
