Mrs. Robin Shaffer, 54, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Roan Highlands Nursing Center following a brief illness. She was born in Carter County and was the daughter of Harry and Della Mae Lewis Johnson of Hampton.
Mrs. Shaffer was the director of Crossroads in Elizabethton. She was a member of Believer’s Family Worship Center in Mountain City, where she served as Children’s Pastor. She loved crafting, working with flowers and she was a talented artist in many areas, who particularly loved working with stained glass.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 34 years, Phillip Shaffer, of the home, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her special friends, Pam Cabe, Roan Mountain, and Mary Roark, Hampton, also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton. A graveside service for Mrs. Shaffer will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the Lewis Cemetery in Hampton with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet the family at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
