Happy Valley High School will hold a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2015 at 10 a.m. Saturday on the school’s football field.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside to the school’s gymnasium.
School Guidance Counselor Jennifer Ellis praised the work of the graduating seniors, whom she said have earned a total of more than $1.5 million in scholarships between them.
“We have a really good class,” she said.
The majority of the graduates will be going on to continue their education either through college or technical school training, Ellis said. “We also have a few going into the military,” she added.
Among the seniors, there are a variety of interests and career path choices, Ellis said.
Many of the Class of 2015 qualified for the Tennessee Promise Scholarship, she said.
“We are so proud of them,” Ellis said.
One hundred twenty-nine seniors will graduate from Happy Valley this year.
Valedictorians for the Class of 2015 are Phillip Garland, Sidney Green, Zachary Hall and Amanda Hennessey.
The Salutatorians for the Class of 2015 are Makayla Eads, Olivia Evans, Dominique Haun and Annie Woods.
Along with the valedictorians and salutatorians, students Caroline Bailey, Breana Campbell, Conner Cross, Autumn Bergendahl and Correy Garland round out the Top 10 Percent of the graduating class.
