Jefferson Lee Watts, 55, passed away at 2:25 a.m. on June 7, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Born in East Chicago, Ind., on May 25, 1960, the son of Teresa Watts Lynch and the late Minor Bransford Watts of Cumberland, Ky., he graduated Lynch High School in 1979 and progressed to graduate from La French Beauty School in Bluefield, W.Va. As a hair stylist he owned Jeff & Co., Strandz Hair Salon and Jefferson on Johnson.
Left to cherish Jeff’s memories include his beloved dog, Tippy; his loving daughter, Heather Watts Robbins and her husband Timothy; grandchild, Dean Robbins; brothers, Joe Bart Watts, Thom Watts and Vince Watts; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Kelvin Pearce, Betty Huntley, Robin Williams and Guy Clark.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Snyder Memorial Garden, 5913 Kingsport Highway, Gray, Tenn. Forever rescuing stray animals, Jeff would prefer donations be made to The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue (Kingsport) in lieu of flowers.
Snyder’s Funeral Home is in charge.
