Clyde Ketterman

Clyde Ketterman, 57, of Elizabethton, fought the good fight and went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2015, from Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was preceded in death by a special nephew, Josh Perry.
Clyde had worked as a supervisor at Zone Air, Kawneer/Traco and Keller Glass Company. He was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church and enjoyed golf, his church, loved his family and enjoyed going to the beach.
Clyde was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Regina Musselman Hughes and Virl Hughes; his wife of 30 years, Joy Wilson Ketterman; three daughters, Jessica, Jennifer and Jaclyn Ketterman; his grandchildren, Addison Thompson and Brentley Ketterman; three sisters, Beverly Adams and husband Jimmy, Cindy Ketterman and life partner Tricia Bowman and Melissa Whitley and life partner Kim Barrett; his mother-in-law, Dot Rominger; and a special sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Gary Kemp. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, special aunts and uncles also survive.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Clyde Ketterman will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Andrew Church, Mr. Richard Thomason and Mr. George Gross, ministers, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, June 25, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Lawson, Kevin Perry, Kevin Kemp, James Buckles, Justin Thompson, James “Jimmy” Adams, Adam Vest and Gary Kemp. Honorary pallbearers will be Kurt Kemp, Loren Pierce, Steve Pierce, Dylan Perry, Chase Perry, Noel Church, Sam Ellis, Gayle Oliver, John Rominger, Stuart Rominger, Mack Collins, co-workers and staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Dr. David Fenner, Dr. Jeff Farrow, Dr. Shams and Dr. Starr. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton at 9:45 a.m. Thursday to go in procession. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his work family, for the love and caring support given to Clyde during his illness, and to Sycamore Shoals Hospital doctors and staff. Also, a special thank you to Debbie and Vickie. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to Tetrick Funeral Home, 211 N.
