Shirley J. Perry

Mrs. Shirley J. Perry, 71, of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital of the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
A native of Washington County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Ross Lester and Hazel B. Simpson.
Mrs. Perry was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry E. Simpson; a sister, Zella M. Baird; sons-in-law, Michael Fisher Jr. and Dana K. Bowman; and a nephew, Terry Perry Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Roy E. Perry, of the home; two daughters, Melissa K. Bowman and Angela M. Fisher, both of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Leah Deloach, Macey Fisher and Emily Fisher; two great-grandchildren, Payton Norris and Hannah Norris; a sister, Mary S. Hardy, Jonesborough; and a special niece, Teresa Foster, Jonesborough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Shirley J. Perry will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 20, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, or at the residence at anytime. Entombment and committal will follow the funeral service in the Mausoleum of Peace of Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jeremiah Guinn, Mike Grindstaff, Payton Norris, Jerry Perry and Nate Perry.
